Q. When will the CEI2024 conference be?
A. The conference will be held between the 24-28th June. We recommend delegations to arrive on June 23rd and depart on June 29th.
Q. Where will the conference be held?
A. The conference is hosted by CEI Sweden and will be held in the southern town of Landskrona at the high school Öresundsgymnasiet.
Q. Who can attend the conference?
A. The annual Caretakers of the Environment conference is for high school students and teachers who are passionate about the environment. At the conference these “Caretakers” present their projects, participate in workshops and learn about different environmental issues, discuss with each other and have fun. The conference welcomes all environmental activists and educators. If you are not a student or teacher you are welcome to join all aspects of the virtual part of the conference as an observer, the only difference is that you will not present a project.
Q. What is a project?
A. Students are encouraged to carry out a project relating to the theme or a subtheme of the conference. For example, to relate to the subtheme of education, students could spend a few days teaching younger students about sustainability.
At the conference, the students will present what they did, what they learned and some reflections from the project.
Q. How do I register for the conference?
A. Once registration is open, a link to a form will be made available on our home page of this website. Just fill out the form, and we will contact you with next steps. Registration will open early 2024.
Q. How do I keep up to date with conference news?
A. We will be updating the website with news ahead of the conference. Updates will be found under the News page.
